Raise the Red Lantern Music By Zhao Jiping
Raise The Red Lantern takes place in China in the 1920’s. When Songlian‘s father dies, the 19-year old is forced to marry Chen Zuoqian, a 50 year old leader. He has three wives, and they all must fight for his attention. He chooses his favorite and hangs a red lantern on their door for the whole town to see. The score is composed by Zhao Jiping.
