Written and directed by Kate Mulleavy and Laura Mulleavy (the acclaimed fashion designers and creator of Rodarte), their first feature Woodshock stars Kirsten Dunst in the role of Teresa, a young woman who falls deeper into paranoia after taking a deadly drug.
Woodshock is a hypnotic exploration of isolation, paranoia and grief that exists in a dream-world all its own. Immersive, spellbinding, and sublime, the film transcends genre to become a singularly thrilling cinematic experience that marks the arrival of the Mulleavy siblings as a major new voice in film.
The film features a beautiful and whimsical score by British composer Peter Raeburn (who contributed to the score to Under The Skin with Mica Levi).
A24 is releasing Woodshock in theaters on September 22, 2017.
