5 Questions with My Hero Academia Composer Yuki Hayashi
In our second installment of #AnimeMonth Q&As, legendary My Hero Academia composer Yuki Hayashi joins us to answer a few questions about anime & composing!
What was your favorite anime growing up?
It maybe cliché, but I loved Dragon Ball growing up!

What is the first anime you scored?
My first big anime series was Robotic;Notes. I also scored a short film titled Ninnikuman, the All-Purpose Vegetable. (LOL)
How did you become the composer of My Hero Academia?
I don’t know but I think the creator thought I had the “personality” to create music for heroic stories.
Who is a dream director you’d like to work with?
I would love to work on films not only in Japan, but also overseas.
What are your upcoming projects?
Shaman King, Bakuten. I am also scoring season 5 of My Hero Academia.
