Visit The Official Website of Simpatico Simpatico's motion picture score was composed by renowned percussionist Stewart Copeland. The eclectic music ranges from sweet romantic melodies to menacing synthesizer-based cues. Often, the two combine, creating a discordant feel, as an eerie keyboard melody suddenly breaks into searing electric guitar. Drawing from his rock 'n roll roots, the music is very guitar- and percussion-driven, yet never sounds out of place as the soundtrack to the film. Copeland first rose to fame as the drummer for legendary rock band The Police. When the band members pursued side-projects in the early-1980s, Copeland composed his first film score for Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 drama Rumble Fish. With the disbanding of The Police less than two years later, Copeland has now gone on to compose more than thirty film scores, including Wall Street, Very Bad Things and Pecker, plus numerous television movies and series. |
