CITY OF GOD
Milan Records presents the funk, soul and samba soundtrack to the new Miramax film, "City of God." Composer Antonio Pinto and Ed Cortes combine their score with tracks from some of Brazil’s most famous musicians including Hyldon, Tim Maia, Raul Seixas, Cartola and Simonal, to create a soundtrack rich in Brazilian culture and emotion. Hall as serial killer Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensics analyst specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami-Dade Police Department. DOOGAL
The Weinstein Company’s new CGI Animation film Doogal is a fun-filled adventure tale in which the candy-loving mutt Doogal and his friends Dylan, Brian, and Ermintrude embark on an epic adventure to save the world. The soundtrack consists of 11 pop songs, 4 of which were written specially for the film including “The Magic Roundabout” sung by Kylie Minogue, a rockabillyesque “Spinning,” as well as other upbeat selections, and a cover of “You Really Got Me.” Additional songs include “Sugar Sugar” by The Archies and “Magic” by Pilot. Rounding off the experience is a quaint score by composer Mark Thomas whose specialty is children’s film music.

THE ELEPHANT MAN
The Elephant Man soundtrack is a singularly moving and poignant dramatic score. Composer John Morris devised many interesting techniques to create the perfect period atmosphere and along with orchestrator Jack Hayes, conducted the National Philharmonic Orchestra for the recording. Also includes the moving "Adagio For Strings" played by the London Symphony Orchestra.


 



EUROTRIP
On February 24, 2004, Milan Records will release the soundtrack to the new DreamWorks film, "Eurotrip." Including the teenage angst/college pop rock music featured in the film as well as some key dialogue from various cast members, this album showcases rock favorites, indie punk bands, international oddities and up-and-comers - including Lustra, who performs the film's signature song, Scotty Doesn't Know.


 



FACTOTUM
The film's music is composed by the singer Kristin Asbjørnsen. She performs the music together with her band Dadafon, plus Tord Gustavsen, Jarle Bernhoft and Yvind Brandtsegg among others. Kristin is one of the leading singers in the Scandinavian jazz scene. Layered over Asbjørnsen's magical, sad and poignant music, she performs two poems by Bukowski: "Slow day" and "I wish to weep." The soundtrack also contains two more songs based on poems by Bukowski: "My Garden" and "If you're going to try". The poems are taken from the book "What matters most is how well you walk through the fire".

Flags of Our Fathers (directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by Steven Spielberg) tells the life stories of the six men who raised the American flag at the Battle of Iwo Jima, a turning point in WWII. The soundtrack to Flags of Our Fathers features an original score by Clint Eastwood, nostalgic standards by Irving Berlin, Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne and John Philip Sousa, as well as original recordings by Dinah Shore and Artie Shaw and His Gramercy Five.

THE HOST
The Host – the latest film from critically acclaimed visionary director Bong Joon-ho – is equal parts creature-feature thrill ride and poignant human drama. As of September 10, 2006, the film is the highest grossing South Korean film of all time, with 12.5 million viewers in South Korea alone. The Host’s original music is composed by Byeongwoo Lee, the most famous guitar player in Korea. I HEART HUCKABEES
Milan Records is proud to release the soundtrack to Fox Searchlight's I Heart Huckabees on October 12, 2004. Consisting of Jon Brion's eclectic pop score and 5 vocal songs including "Knock Yourself Out!" Jon Brion is instrumental in the sound of today's music scene. He was a member of The Grays, whose album Ro Sham Bo was a masterpiece of power pop (along with Jason Falkner, Buddy Judge, and Dan McCarroll). Jon was responsible for much of the sound of Aimee Mann's first two solo albums, contributed much to the sound of Fiona Apple's albums, notably her debut, Tidal, and has worked with such artists as Nina Gordon, Elliott Smith, Sam Phillips, E (and the Eels), Robyn Hitchcock, Jude Cole, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, David Byrne, Brian Stevens, and Dan Castellaneta, among others.

INFAMOUS
Infamous tells the story of Truman Capote (Toby Jones) as he investigates the murder case that would result in his smash book In Cold Blood. The music of Infamous includes the original score by Rachel Portman (Oliver Twist, Chocolat, The Manchurian Candidate), as well as poignant songs from the 1950s, including songs from Sarah Vaughan, Dusty Springfield, and two exclusive, unreleased songs written by Harlan Howard and performed by Johnny Bond.
