BRAZIL - SILVER SCREEN EDITION
In Brazil, Michael Kamen achieves what few composers in any medium have done: fuse a stunning variety of forms (ranging from symphonic to jazz to 30's pop), stuff them with allusions (everything from Maurice Ravel to Woody Woodpecker) - and make the final result as gloriously, giddily romantic as it is heartbreaking. With Brazil, Michael Kamen has created one of the greatest dreamscapes in music.

Bonus Material: exclusive interview with Terry Gilliam, discussing Brazil's music, his role as the film’s director and his perspective on film music today.

BREAKFAST ON PLUTO
A vibrant, picturesque new movie from Neil Jordan, the award winning director of The Crying Game among others. Set in the 1970's, Breakfast on Pluto follows the exploits of Patrick Braden (Cillian Murphy), an endearing, but deceptively tough young man. Jordan weaves a wonderfully surreal and magical tale to bring us this funny, moving and poignant rites of passage account of a young man enduring the trials and tribulations he faces with a smile and unwavering faith in the inherent goodness in us all. From the melodrama of Bobby Goldsboro’s “Honey” (Kitten’s theme song about a bereft young widower mourning his lost bride), to a stirring Handel chorale, to disco and punk, music is a powerful force in “Breakfast on Pluto.”

BROKEN ARROW
Broken Arrow's marriage between pulsating techno sounds and its mythic western quality has been accomplished with a unique ensemble that includes trumpet, guitar, harmonica, percussion, mini-Moogs and four pianos "rattling around at the bottom end." When it comes to action, composer Hans Zimmer prefers the intimacy that synthesizers give him. "The more electronic I go, the more human an action score becomes to me," he says. Hans Zimmer makes Broken Arrow's theme-driven score full of pulsating action and lush symphonic sound.

BROTHERS OF THE HEAD
Brothers of the Head is the feverish, mind-bending odyssey of conjoined twins Tom and Barry Howe who were plucked from obscurity by a 1970s music promoter and groomed into a punk band. The soundtrack is every bit destructive as it is reminiscent of that classic 70s punk flavor, but with more edge and cutting than you've ever heard before. In fact, it very well may be the best punk you've never heard. The Bang Bang truly take punk to a raw, emotional level that's gone unseen before Brothers of the Head.
