PAPRIKA
Paprika is a Japanese animated film, based on Yasutaka Tsutsui's 1993 novel about a female detective who investigates criminal cases by entering the dreams of her subjects. Susuma Hirasawa is one of Japan’s most cutting-edge electronic musicians. He intricately weaves electronic music and voice with organic instruments to create an orchestral experience unlike anything you’ve ever heard. MR. BROOKS
Earl Brooks (Kevin Costner) is a loving family man and a local business icon. But Mr. Brooks is addicted to killing. Struggling with his pathology, he tries to quit, but his alter-ego, "Marshall," (William Hurt) has an altogether different idea. “Marshall” enjoys his “existence” and his "work." Ramin Djawadi's original score captures the tension, passion and conflict of the film in a perfect way, enhancing the variety of moods. LANDAU ORCHESTRA – JANUS PLAYS TELEPHONE
The Landau Orchestra is a project that focuses towards a perfect blend of acoustic instruments (4 brass, 4 string, 2 winds), piano and electronics. Formed in 1998, Landau was originally a union of four songwriters/producers geared towards writing melodic electronic music. Their earliest influences included the 1990’s Warp Scene, trip hop, drum & bass and western art music. The group’s underlying goal and aesthetic has always been the seamless blend of acoustic and electronic music. Their sound has been compared to Plaid, Autechre, The Cinematic Orchestra, and Matmos, amongst others.

SANCTUARY: LISA GERRARD
Made over the course of a year, it is an intimate portrait of an artist who shares some of her deepest and most creative and emotional insights on all aspects of her life and career. Based on Alchemy, the film illustrates Lisa’s connection with nature but also the essence of her music and singing as strong spiritual expression. Each section talks about the different components of Lisa’s career: her beginnings with the formation of the Dead Can Dance group with Brendan Perry in the 80’s, her film solo career, the reformation of Dead Can Dance for a world tour in 2005 and aspects of her family life which support and influence her work. With unique access to a reclusive artist, “Sanctuary” contains music, performances, photographs and behind-the-scenes footage never seen or heard before.

AFTER THE WEDDING
After the Wedding has been nominated for Best Foreign Language Picture at the 79th Annual Academy Awards. Composer Johan Söderqvist has received two awards himself in Cannes for his original score for Brothers, and a nomination for Best European Composer 2005 at the European Film Awards, as well as the Swedish Grammy Award in 1991. Söderqvist’s music for After the Wedding captures the emotion and unpredictability of the film. His music accompanies the picture perfectly while also leaving room for the film to breathe.

THE HOST
The Host – the latest film from critically acclaimed visionary director Bong Joon-ho – is equal parts creature-feature thrill ride and poignant human drama. BLACK BOOK
Black Book tells the story of a Jewish woman, Rachel Steinn who joins the Hague resistance during WWII after the Germans murder her family. Composer Anne Dudley is an English musician, composer, arranger and producer. Her scores include The Crying Game, Buster, Pushing Tin and many others. She won an Oscar in 1998 for her score to The Full Monty. Black Book’s soundtrack consists of Anne Dudley’s beautiful, diverse and emotional score mixed with period jazz and pop.

THE SOUND OF RIO: BRASILEIRINHO
The Sound of Rio: Brasileirinho is a 90-min musical documentary film about CHORO, the first genuinely Brazilian urban music. The film remembers the history but shows, above all, a colorful picture of Choro's vitality today.

THE SOUND OF RIO: BRASILEIRINHO
Just as with Moro no Brasil, released earlier in 2006, The Sound of Rio: Brasileirinho deserves a soundtrack as well. This fabulous look at Brazil's best kept secret genre, CHORO, has gone relatively unnoticed. The soundtrack captures the best moments, in full-length songs to bring them out of their film roots and assemble them into a meaningful Choro compilation album. This includes a feature on the established Trio Madeira Brasil, comprised of Ronaldo do Bandolim, Marcello Gonçalves and Zé Paulo Becker, and much more.

ALPHA DOG
Chosen as the closing film for the Sundance Film Festival, Nick Cassavetes' (The Notebook, John Q) Alpha Dog is the story of teenage suburban drug dealer Johnny Truelove (based on the real life criminal Jesse James Hollywood), the youngest man ever to appear on the FBI's Most Wanted list, at age 19. As The Hollywood Reporter put it," Cassavetes simply plunges you into an unhealthy environment of social disintegration and never eases up." The soundtrack is full of original hip-hop by Aaron Zigman, who also scored Cassavetes's The Notebook and John Q. This hip-hop was specifically written for the film, performed by a variety of artists.

LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA
From Academy Award winner Clint Eastwood comes the untold story of the Japanese soldiers and their general who, 61 years ago, defended against the invading American forces on the island of Iwo Jima. In an effort to explore an event that continues to resonate with both cultures, this unprecedented dual film project was shot back-to-back to be released in sequence. In doing so, Eastwood sought to reveal the battle of Iwo Jima. Letters from Iwo Jima's original score is composed by Kyle Eastwood and Michael Stevens.

PAN'S LABYRINTH
PAN'S LABYRINTH unfolds through the eyes of Ofelia, a dreamy little girl who is uprooted to a rural military outpost commanded by her new stepfather. Ofelia lives out her own dark fable as she confronts monsters both otherworldly and human. Spanish composer, Javier Navarrete brings the music of Pan's Labyrinth alive. It captures the fantastical mood of the film - a fairy tale fantasy for adults, set against the backdrop of the Spanish Civil War - with all of the tension and imagination of this rich, layered film.

EMILIE SIMON - THE FLOWER BOOK
Emilie Simon has given new life to French pop and electro. She is one of the most eloquent windows to contemporary French music. FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS
Flags of Our Fathers (directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by Steven Spielberg) tells the life stories of the six men who raised the American flag at the Battle of Iwo Jima, a turning point in WWII. The soundtrack to Flags of Our Fathers features an original score by Clint Eastwood, nostalgic standards by Irving Berlin, Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne and John Philip Sousa, as well as original recordings by Dinah Shore and Artie Shaw and His Gramercy Five.

THE QUEEN
The Queen is an intimate behind the scenes glimpse at the interaction between HM Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Tony Blair during their struggle to reach a compromise between what was a private tragedy for the Royal family and the public's demand for an overt display of mourning. The film and soundtrack feature "Libera Me" by Verdi from Princess Diana's funeral.
