This is the 4th Gregorian chant album by the Norbertine Fathers of St. Michael's Abbey in California. Thanks to the press coverage and buzz surrounding the previous releases, the conductor and music director of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra Carl St. Clair “discovered” the Norbertines and invited them to perform with the Orchestra.
The recordings on this CD include the chant performed with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra at Segerstrom Hall as well as a selection of tracks from additional concerts at Biola University.
The previous albums Gregorian Chant: Requiem, Anthology: Chants and Polyphony, Christmas at St. Michael's Abbey were both praised for their quality and vigor. In this new release, once again the quality of the Norbertine Fathers’ chant is exceptional.
The album comes in a high-quality digipak with extensive liner notes about the Norbertines and their repertoire.
